DiSE at the University of Bath.

Diploma in Sporting Excellence.

The Diploma in Sporting Excellence offers fighters the opportunity to significantly increase their training volume while working towards a vocational qualification recognised by UCAS.

It is a key part of the British Judo Performance Pathway — using the same Trademark model as Britain's Olympic and Paralympic judoka — delivered in our traditional Japanese-style dojo at the Team Bath Sports Training Village, alongside elite Strength & Conditioning coaches and physiotherapists.

Two Routes

Choose your pathway.

Both routes cover the same curriculum and lead to the same qualification — pick the structure that fits your life.

Route 01

Camp-Based Route.

A residential camp-based programme over half-terms and weekends, with all accommodation and food covered. Each camp includes 2–3 Randori sessions, 2–3 technical sessions, plus Strength & Conditioning and injury-prevention work.

Route 02

Weekly Route.

Suited to students already based in or near Bath — combine DiSE with sixth-form or college study through weekly in-person training and theory lessons scheduled around your timetable.
