Judo built into the secondary school day.
We run before and after-school judo sessions in secondary schools across Bath. No travelling across town after a long school day, no separate logistics — judo happens at your child's school, fitting naturally around lessons, study, and other commitments.
Elite coaching — in the school hall.
Our sessions are led by coaches from Team Bath Judo, the best university judo programme in the UK, which has a full-time athlete programme that has consistently produced Olympians. That means your teenager is being taught by athletes who compete at a national and international level, under the oversight of our experienced senior coaches.
It's the standard of coaching you'd normally find at a national performance club — brought into the school environment.
What your teenager gets.
Technical depth
Real throws, grip fighting (kumi-kata), transitions, and ground work — taught at a level that prepares students for grading, randori, and competition.Strength, conditioning & resilience
Judo develops functional strength, balance, and the mental resilience to push through difficult sessions — qualities that transfer directly into academic life. The moral code, lived daily
Politeness, courage, self-control, honour. Values that matter most in the teenage years — taught by name and reinforced by example on the mat.A clear pathway
For those who want more, sessions feed directly into Team Bath Community Club, the DiSE programme, and ultimately Team Bath Judo Performance.
