Kudos Judo brings world-class judo to primary schools across Bath. Our programme is designed for children — whether your child has never stepped on a mat before, or they're ready to compete — with coaching that balances fun, discipline, and proper technique.

Coached by national and international competitors.

All of our coaches come from the Team Bath Judo high-performance squad at the University of Bath — the same programme that has produced some of Great Britain's most decorated judoka, including double Olympic medallist Kate Howey, London 2012 silver-medallist Gemma Gibbons, and Paris 2024 silver-medallist Prisca Awiti-Alcaraz.

Every Kudos coach is a nationally ranked competitor and has competed at the international level, working under the mentorship of our senior coaches to deliver the highest standard of judo coaching in the region.

A different way of teaching.

We're different in how we teach, too. Our coaching is built on the eight moral values of judo — courage, friendship, honour, modesty, respect, self-control, politeness, and sincerity — drawn from the French Judo Federation's framework, which has produced the most successful youth judo culture in the world.

These aren't posters on a wall. They're the foundation of every session.

A place for all children.

Whether your child joins us for after-school judo in their primary school, steps up to our club sessions, or pursues a performance pathway — there is a place for them at every level at Kudos Judo.
